Strengthening the Impact Assessment Act: Joint Submission to the Standing Senate Committee on Energy, the Environment and Natural Resources on Part 1 of Bill C-69

This joint submission to the Senate Committee on Energy, the Environment and Natural Resources regarding the Impact Assessment Act proposed under Bill C-69 contains five amendments to the bill proposed by West Coast Environmental Law and allied groups who have been deeply engaged on federal environmental assessment reform for over three years.

The measures recommended in it would bring greater clarity, accountability and rigour to federal assessment processes.
