In summer 2019, Parks Canada requested feedback on proposed revisions to policy and regulations related to National Marine Conservation Areas (NMCAs). This submission outlines key recommendations from SeaBlue Canada to strengthen these policies to better protect biodiversity and effectively manage Canada's NMCAs. A strong set of NMCA policies and regulations will help Canada achieve its conservation goals and set the stage for urgently needed next steps in global biodiversity protection.
