Alex Kuhlman (they/them) is the Executive Coordinator at West Coast Environmental Law and supports organizational governance, operations and project management under the direction of the Executive Director and Senior Counsel.
Prior to joining West Coast, Alex worked in the BC labour movement and co-organized a collective house for Queer & Trans youth. Alex is a settler from Lenapehoking, in a region colonially known as Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They moved to the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, & Tsleil-Waututh peoples in 2014.
In addition to environmentalism, Alex is passionate about community care, accessibility, immigration, workers’ rights, and housing. In their spare time, they enjoy playing video games, embroidering, learning languages, working on vintage cars with their partner, cooking for loved ones, and hanging out with their dog named Mini Wheat.
